The Organisation

Bendigo Kangan Institute is the merged entity of Bendigo TAFE and Kangan Institute. Ravenhall Correctional Centre is a medium security men’s prison opening in late 2017 in Ravenhall, Victoria.  Ravenhall will redefine the role of the modern prison. It’s unique design and service model provides an unprecedented emphasis on offender rehabilitation and reintegration.  If you are motivated to work therapeutically to create successful outcomes for prisoners, Ravenhall is the place for you.

The Roles

To deliver quality vocational education and training and conduct competency based assessment in specified program(s) in a range of settings including classroom, workplace and online environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of learning programs
  • Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs
  • Contribute to the development of resources and programs that generate authentic learning experiences
  • Contribute to the design of flexible learning strategies
  • Plan, organise and deliver work-based learning using best practice delivery modes in a range of contexts including facilitating and mentoring learning in the workplace and in e- learning contexts
  • Identify student language, literacy and numeracy issues and seek advice where required to meet learner needs
  • Contribute to program evaluation; seek regular feedback to evaluate own performance and plan for improvements
